Jökulsárlón is my favorite place in Iceland. Jökulsárlón is a large glacier lagoon created from Breiðamerkurjökull (an outlet of the Vatnajökull glacier), as a result of the warming climate. Take in the magnificent views of giant icebergs that have broken off from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. I signed up for the “zodiac tour” with Glacier Lagoon, and they took me around the lagoon to get up close and personal with the glacier as well as many large iceberg pieces. The pictures from this visit were breathtaking!

- Jökulsárlón icebergs
- The deep blue color of the icebergs is actually an optical illusion from the density of the ice

- My jaw dropped when I first got a view of Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. What a sight! Now, if you want to have a high contrast photo wear something like a bright orange jacket! 🙂
