The beauty of Kauai is that there are so many gems hidden away for you to adventure and find. Hideaway Beach (Pali Ke Kua) on Kauaiās north shore is one of those gems. Located in Princeville on the north shore, Hideaway Beach requires a hike down a steep trail supported by handrails and ropes. After the steep climb you are rewarded with a secluded beach that is supposedly good for snorkeling in the summer months.
To go to Hideaway, search for “Hideaways Beach public parking” in Google Maps. (Many articles online says to look for St. Regis Hotel, but it looks like the hotel is no longer around.)There is a small lot available for parking that looks like this.
You can find the path on the left side of the parking lot (if you are facing the street). Pretend you are exiting the parking lot and turn left to find the path.
After following the path you will find steps leading down to the beach. It is steep so be careful and be sure to use the handrails and the ropes.
Enjoy!!!
