Volga Manor is a Russian-themed garden located in the Xiangfang District, ~1 hour away from Harbin city center. There are over 30 Russian style buildings in this garden area. One of the main sights to see is the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas Cathedral, built completely out of wood. There is a restaurant with traditional Russian cuisine and workshops you can visit to see the making of the Russian dolls and learn how to make the traditional bread. The area also includes small man made hills that allow for tubing and “skiing.” If not for the activities, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area by wandering through the paths, bridges, and frozen river around the area.
I have never been to Russia before, so this was quite a fun experience for me! We took lots of fun pictures at this fairy tale-themed garden.
